My vegan friends are very grateful when I make this cake for their birthdays. This cake has all of the qualities that I enjoy – tenderness, richness, lightness, creaminess, and fluffiness. I’m going to dare you to eat a dessert that contains nothing short of butter, sugar, flour, and eggs. Wipe a finger through the rich velvet layer of butter cream and lick it clean, we all had seconds and then it was gone.
